After losing in extra innings in the first game on Saturday to the Royals, Steven Kwan's home run gave the Guardians the win in the second game.

Brayan Rocchio opened the inning with a double. Austin Hedges moved him to third with a bunt and Kwan unloaded on a 2-2 curveball for his ninth homer of the season and a 6-2 lead. The homer was the longest of Kwan’s career and his third in the last three games. It must mean his strained right wrist is starting to feel better.

On Sunday, the Royals officially placed rookie outfielder Jac Caglianone on the 10-day injured list with a left-hamstring strain. Caglianone felt discomfort in Game 1 of Saturday’s doubleheader against the Cleveland Guardians.
