West Michigan was filled with chants, signs and music on Saturday as thousands gathered to take part in a nationwide “No Kings” protest.

Demonstrators plan to gather in downtown Grand Rapids on Saturday as part of the nationwide “No Kings” movement. The Grand Rapids Police Department said it's prepared for the large crowds and plans to keep both demonstrators and the public safe.
Protesters across Michigan and the United States are rallying Saturday afternoon in a demonstration organizers are calling a "national day of defiance."
