Ribas has now dropped two straight bouts and is just 3-5 over her past eight UFC appearances. Her loss to Dern marked the first time she has been submitted in her professional MMA career.

Ribas was credited with a takedown and 3:31 of control time, while Dern had 0:19 of control time. The judges had the second round in favor of Ribas 9-10, 10-9, 10-9.

As for fighting Ribas (13-5) again, Dern (14-5) is excited to take on the fellow Top 10-ranked 115-pounder. Their first fight, on Oct. 12, 2019, ended with Ribas winning by unanimous decision.
