The Indian stock market is experiencing volatility, with the Sensex dropping 565 points to an intraday low of 79,979.05 and the Nifty 50 declining to 24,387.55. Both indices showed slight recovery by 1 PM,

The Indian equity benchmark indices closed lower for the second consecutive day as Wipro, Sun Pharma, Jio Finance along with others weighed on the index. The NSE Nifty 50 benchmark ended 75 points, or 0.31% lower at 24,574, and the 30-stock BSE Sensex ended 166.26 points, or 0.21% lower at 80,543.

Worries are high that Trump’s tariffs are damaging the economy, particularly after last week’s worse-than-expected report on the job market.
