A series of yellow wind and rain warnings of localised floods, lightning damage and power outages are due to come into force in the early hours of Monday as Storm Floris reaches Ireland. Met Éireann predicts western counties will face “damaging gusts”, possibly dangerous driving conditions and structural damage in some areas.

Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the north of England are bracing for winds of up to 90mph on Monday and the Met Office has issued new advice after upgrading its weather warning

Weather warnings have been upgraded to amber for most of Scotland as Storm Floris bears down on the UK. The warning lasts from 10:00 BST on Monday through to 22:00 and warns of danger to life as damage to buildings and trees due to storm conditions is expected.
