The Pittsburgh Steelers’ head coach search is picking up speed as we’re halfway through the postseason. The first update was around the possibility of reuniting Aaron Rodgers with his former coach, Mike McCarthy.
A Minnesota Vikings insider shares an update on alternatives to replace Brian Flores as defensive coordinator should he leave this offseason.
He writes, "Settle the Brian Flores situation. He has been one of the NFL's best defensive coordinators during his three seasons in Minnesota, but his contract is expiring and he'll have the opportunity to consider options elsewhere even if he doesn't get a head coaching job. It'll be a challenge to replace him with an equal performer."
Flores, the former Dolphins head coach, is the seventh different candidate to have interviewed with Baltimore since the team fired longtime head coach John Harbaugh at the end of the regular season. The Ravens have also interviewed Klint Kubiak, Anthony Weaver, Vance Joseph, Davis Webb, Matt Nagy and Kliff Kingsbury in addition to Flores.
