Disney’s live-action “Lilo & Stitch” and Tom Cruise’s “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” dominated the U.K. and Ireland box office in May, driving the market to a robust £109.1 million ($147.7 million) total that represents a 50% increase over the same period last year, according to Comscore.

The live-action Lilo & Stitch continues to rocket up the global box office chart during its third weekend in theaters, hitting a new major milestone.

Disney’s “Lilo & Stitch” will take the No. 1 spot at the box office for a third weekend, earning $32.5 million and fending off Lionsgate’s “ Ballerina ,” which is underperforming with a $25 million start.
