TIMELINE: When winter weather could arrive in East Tennessee
Storm Team 6 is monitoring the forecast as a weather system moving in later this week could bring wintry weather, including snow, ice, and freezing rain, to East Tennesseans this weekend.
According to AccuWeather's daily predictions, Memphis will have mild temperatures early in the week, followed by a steep drop into the 20s by the weekend. As of Tuesday morning, predictions show that any freezing precipitation will hit the area Friday evening into Saturday.
The comeback of winter will be felt over Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky for the next seven to 10 days.
