A Bangladesh government-appointed committee examining power generation contracts, including one with India’s Adani Power (ADAN.NS), has urged the interim government to hire a global legal firm to ensure a thorough and transparent investigation into deals under former prime minister Sheikh Hasina’s regime.

The interim government of Bangladesh, led by Mohammad Yunus, announced on Sunday a comprehensive review of major power agreements signed during the tenure of ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The interim government, headed by Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus, had formed a committee to review power contracts signed by exiled former PM Sheikh Hasina.
