Sen. Alex Padilla delivered a speech on the Senate floor, almost a week after being forcibly removed from Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem's​ news conference in Los Angeles.

The California Democrat returned to the Senate floor Tuesday to warn that the Trump administrations response to immigration protests in Los Angeles should "shock the conscience of our country."

In emotional remarks on Tuesday, the California Democrat recounted the altercation, in which security forced him out of the room and onto the ground.
