Lakers superstar big man Anthony Davis has apparently given up on trying to win the Defensive Player of the Year award.

Anthony Davis has been stellar for the Los Angeles Lakers so far this season. He’s played in 20 of the team’s 21 games, and is averaging 27.8 points, 11.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game on 54.2% from the field and a respectable 35.

Davis and the Lakers won a title in the COVID-shortened 2020 season, his second year with the team.
