The group that represents medical device makers in Washington is coming out against the Trump administration’s firings of employees who regulate the industry.

AdvaMed, the medical device lobby, pushed back Wednesday on the Trump administration’s weekend firings of FDA employees.

The Trump administration’s workforce reduction effort has reached the Food and Drug Administration. According to FDA staffers, probationary employees reviewing food ingredients, medical devices, and other products were fired over the weekend.
