In addition to tapping singers SZA and Deyra Barrera, the 17-time Grammy winner used production from frequent Taylor Swift collaborator Jack Antonoff as well as Mustard, the stage name of Dijon Isaiah McFarlane, who produced Lamar’s mega-viral hit “ Not Like Us .”

Kendrick Lamar dropped a surprise album, GNX, out of nowhere on Friday, and we’ve already got a fantastic meme from one of the new album’s best songs. Lamar’s “ tv off ” is one of two excellent collaborations with Mustard on the record, and it’s that song where Lamar gives the legendary Los Angeles producer a delightful shoutout.

DJ Mustard is the stage name of Dijon Isaiah McFarlane, a rapper and producer who worked with Lamar GNX alongside Jack Antonoff, SZA, and more. Most notably, however, Mustard worked on Lamar’s mega-viral and controversial hit “Not Like Us,” a diss track fueling Lamar’s longtime rivalry with Drake.
