Kolkata: Air India Express on Sunday launched daily flights from Kolkata to Sri Vijaya Puram (Port Blair), as a part of network expansion in the region, the airline said in a statement. The inaugural Kolkata-Sri Vijaya Puram flight took off at 5.

This new route is part of Air India Express's ongoing efforts to strengthen its presence in the region, with a 37% increase in services from Kolkata and Bagdogra this winter season.

Currently, Air India Express operates 21 weekly flights from Sri Vijaya Puram, connecting it directly to Bengaluru and Kolkata. The airline also provides one-stop connectivity to 15 other domestic cities,
