Even with that lead up, it didn't make it any less shocking when the Red Sox traded their homegrown star to the San Francisco Giants on June 15. In return, the Red Sox picked up pitchers Kyle Harrison and Jordan Hicks, and prospects James Tibbs and Jose Bello, in a trade that was first reported by Fansided.
