CHICAGO (WLS) -- Thanksgiving festivities took over a packed State Street on a brisk Thursday morning for the 90th annual Chicago Thanksgiving Parade. "We're starting to get cold," Chris Janick from Leland, Illinois, said. "We actually came out last night got a hotel room and wanted to see this parade."

LOOP — Smiles and festive attire were plentiful along State Street as thousands lined up to watch the 90th Chicago Thanksgiving Parade Thursday morning. The annual celebration brought music, worldwide cultures, giant balloons, dancing and more as over 100 groups made their way through the Loop. Even Santa and Mrs. Claus made an appearance.

The Chicago Bears fired head coach Matt Eberflus following the team’s disastrous Thanksgiving day loss to the Detroit Lions to extend its losing streak to six games.

Matt Eberflus was fired by the Chicago Bears on Friday, one day after botching a timeout in a loss to Detroit. Offensive coordinator Thomas Brown will serve as interim coach, the Bears said in a statement.

The Lions and Packers both secured wins on Thanksgiving and improved to 11-1 and 8-3, respectively. That puts pressure on Minnesota to take care of a good Cardinals team on Sunday, get to 10-2, and maintain its spot in between those two rivals heading into the final five weeks of the season.
