A Palestinian opened fire on an Israeli bus near the Jewish settlement of Ariel in the occupied West Bank on Friday, wounding at least eight people before he was killed by Israeli troops, the Israeli military said.

Several people have been killed in an Israeli airstrike near Jenin in the northern West Bank, the Palestinian WAFA news agency reported. It said that a vehicle with several young men had been fired upon.

The terrorist was named as 46-year-old Samer Hussein, 46, a father of five from a Palestinian village south of Nablus
