Reflecting back on the Big Brown Bat pups we raised this year... They're already in their wild homes, and we're glad we were able to save the ones we could! 💕🦇 Big Brown Bats are one of the few bat species in Virginia who are doing fairly well right now! However, 2025's pup season in our region was like no other--and not in a good way. 😭 For reasons we don't fully understand, Big Brown Bat pups were dropping out of maternity colonies by the dozens. Mother bats weren't retrieving their fallen
