The Dorze are an ethnic group in southern Ethiopia, mainly living in the Gamo Highlands near Chencha and also around Arba Minch. They are part of the larger Omotic-speaking communities. A few key highlights about them: Language: They speak the Dorze language, which belongs to the Omotic branch of the Afroasiatic family. Houses: Their homes are famous - tall, beehive-shaped structures made from bamboo and enset (false banana leaves). These houses can last up to 60-80 years and are easily repaired

Today we went to Mary’s southern cooking here in Mobile, Alabama!
