108K views · 446 reactions | This summer Norges geologiske undersøkelse (NGU) discovered an airplane at 55 m depth in the Trondheim fjord. Last Saturday Blueye helped film and identify the wreck. The airplane is an Arado AR 196 from World War 2. The AR 196 was a small reconnaissance airplane catapulted (!) into the air from German warships. The airplane is probably one of three AR 196 that allegedly was sunk intentionally in September 1945 after the war. | Blueye Robotics | Facebook
